While we were busy polishing this option, owners have kept playing with different ideas. So they've ended up with "junk food" menu concept - which was essentially home cooking went bananas.
After discussion we've changed design and proposed very simple "stripped down" decoration using as many existing elements as possible.
The owners of the China News on Spiridnovka street (which was originally designed by us), asked us to redesign their space using different concept.
We had very limited time to come up with the new design. Also the budget for refurbishment was rather tight.
We've began with the concept. Owners wanted to have a diner-styled place at first. Restaurant occupies the space of what was milk shop during Soviet era. That's why we came up with the idea of keeping some original elements on the first level while adding some pop elements on the mezzanine.
